The main difference between the two games would be the extra powder coating, weather resistant electronics, and clear plexiglass backboard on the Outdoor game; the main differences in favor of the Home Dual Shot are the ability to use either battery power or the AC adapter power, and the ability to raise the game's height from the base 82 inches to 88 or 94 inches. The Home Dual Shot is the only game with a changeable height option.

Both games are very sturdy and have the same number of games and audio options. The biggest differences are in the game’s construction:

Backboard: The HDS backboard is made of wood, while the ODS one is plexiglass. The HDS backboard should not be left outside, because the wood is susceptible to moisture.

Electronics: The ODS electronics (scoreboard, sensors and control panel) are weather-proof.

Frame/Ramp: The ODS frame is rust-proofed and the ramp has a UV coating.
